Burberry Prorsum @ LFW- how to get the look

So London Fashion Week has been and gone in a flurry, just like it always does, and we’re all geared up and inspired for next season… right now!

I always look forward to watching the Burberry Prorsum show- the mix of FROW celebrities, the live music and of course Christopher Bailey’s latest designs all combine to make the ultimate fashion extravaganza.

This weeks show certainly didn’t disappoint, though I was surprised to see Cara in the front row rather than on the catwalk?!

If I could sum up the look for Fall 2015 in a few words, they would be these- western, boho and clashes! If you thought ponchos weren’t high fashion, then this collection has just made you look a bit silly…

After watching the show, I took to my fave high street shop Zara to see if I could replicate the look for a fraction of the Burberry price tag. Yes, it’s a Fall collection, but why wait until winter 2015 to wear this look?!

One of the big looks of this collection was suede. Not the easiest of materials to wear or indeed maintain but never the less a very statement look, particularly with the western style fringing. Whether you go for a big statement jacket or a little day time bag, this will be a great look for summer. I’d love to attempt the two piece suede outfit but think that may be best left to the catwalk!

Another theme which I LOVED and which Burberry is well- known for is clashing of patterns. This collection saw clashes of texture but also pattern- camo and animal print were matched with boho patterns. I will definitely be trying this look.

Rich burgundy was used in quite a few collections at various fashion weeks including Victoria Beckhams. I really like how it goes with the boho theme in the Burberry show and ZARA have some great pieces to help you perfect this look.

There were some stunning out wear pieces and dresses in the show which of course goes hand in hand with the Burberry label, but the accessories were what helped made these pieces look so amazing. I loved the fringed heels that the models wore and the cut out style of the shoes were so flattering- something us ladies should never ignore!

Here are three of my favourite looks from the show- I will definitely be trying to replicate these looks for the summer! Thank goodness for my loyal friend ZARA!
